Summary:

The Director of Purchasing & Supply Chain is responsible for the global planning, purchasing, logistics and warehousing of finished goods. This individual is responsible for making sound business decisions daily to balance the cost of the Supply chain with the service expectations of our global customers.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct leadership to the planning and purchasing team who oversee global supply planning, freight and brokerage services, logistics, import/export trade regulations, HS tariff compliance, and other regulatory matters related to global trade. Additionally, a team who is responsible for collaborating with CMs to optimize MOQ, streamline lead times, and manage the buy/sell process for InVue goods.
• Direct leadership of a North American distribution facility as well as indirect leadership of two other global 3PL distribution centers in Europe and Asia
• Direct management of US based vendors with responsibilities including cost negotiations, lead-time management and commercial terms
• Demand forecasting of all products to support all global customers and markets through close partnerships and strong communication with global sales and marketing teams
• Demand and supply analysis to balance company inventory and service levels to customers
• Management of corporate inventory levels to target levels
• Partnering with global sales & customer service teams to meet or exceed the expectations of our customers
• Collaboration with the US-based engineering team and the global contract manufacturing network to support the development and time to market of new products
• Develop supply chain processes that enable the continued growth and innovation of the company
• Position reports to VP of Customer Operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
• 10+ years of experience in a related position in managing Supply Chain Management (with at least 7 years leading supply chain teams)
• Demonstrated team leadership experience with the ability to provide constructive feedback and direction to both internal and external team members
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast paced and demanding
• Self-directed with the ability to balance tactical responsibilities with strategic change activities
• Strong attention to detail and follows through on actions
• Exhibits a strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy
• Track record of developing and implementing change which positively impacts company performance
• Strong interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally with internal and external teams
• Travel as necessary to suppliers, sales offices and warehouses, estimated at 10%
