Marketing Technology Principal, Advisors & Consulting Services
Services within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution. Our Advisors & Consulting Services team combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard's rich data assets, proprietary platforms, and technologies to provide clients with powerful strategic insights and recommendations. Mastercard Advisors works with a diverse global customer base across industries, from banking and payments to retail and restaurants.
This role will serve as a subject matter expert for all things marketing technology, platform transformation strategy, and digital customer engagement. The ideal candidate will be able to help drive change through actionable recommendations focused on optimizing strategies across the entire portfolio of marketing technology tools and the holistic tech stack. By leveraging data-driven business strategies, this role will help clients more effectively manage their technology spend and unlock new opportunities for better utilization of data, capabilities, and customer engagement tools.
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver best in class insights and deliverables on large and complex engagements, developing creative approaches to problem solving for digital engagement and marketing technology optimization
Serve as trusted advisor and own relationships with senior/executive level clients, as well as key internal stakeholders across a variety of functional areas
Support business development teams in identifying opportunities for future Mastercard Services revenue opportunities, leveraging industry expertise to advance Services pipeline opportunities
Define areas for advancement of Mastercard intellectual capital and execute on thought leadership activities to improve capabilities; promote Mastercard and Services internally and with clients to credentialize our expertise in the space
Provide coaching and mentorship to internal teams to further the development of Mastercard teammates
Democratize marketing technology subject-matter-expertise across Mastercard Services, scaling our organizational capacity to support these types of client engagements
Travel to client sites to lead project related activities including discovery, kick-off, deep-dive workshops and stakeholder interviews, and executive read-outs
All About You
Subject matter expertise in digital marketing and marketing technology including topics like marketing technology transformation, tools and platforms, marketing automation, CRM, data strategy, personalization, customer digital experience, e-commerce, data privacy & compliance, organizational management, and omnichannel strategy
15+ years' experience leading teams to leverage data to unlock customer engagement on the consulting, industry, or agency side
Ability to balance strategic thinking with detailed tactical execution skills to drive overall client impact; ability to make quick decisions in challenging, ambiguous situations
Proven experience in developing relationships and establishing credibility with executive stakeholders internally and with clients/partners
Market savvy, understanding emerging trends and market opportunities
Proven ability to identify future engagement opportunities and engage key stakeholders to drive commercial success
Experience in a matrix organization structure, managing and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders effectively
Meticulous coordination and project management skills to manage multiple projects and work streams effectively
Strong capability in data analysis, translating raw data into actionable insights
Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of articulate storytelling and translating complex insights into compelling narratives that resonate with clients
Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
