Must-Have: Ability to Perform Patient Evaluations, Use of Electronic Medical Record, Understanding of Physical Agent Modalities, Understanding of Multiple Body Systems

Description:
The Seasonal Occupational Therapist is responsible for implementing Occupational Therapy services as ordered by a physician.
The therapist provides all necessary aspects of therapy within an interdisciplinary environment to help patients achieve a safe and independent lifestyle.
Candidates must possess knowledge for the care of pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.
The role requires demonstrating the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the information to identify age-specific needs.
Schedule is 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Skills include performing patient evaluations with appropriate functional tests and constructing goals based on various factors like activity restrictions and medical stability.
The job demands physical tasks such as moving equipment and patients safely.
Documentation should be secure and proper in the Electronic Medical Record.
Candidates must demonstrate critical thinking in patient evaluation and treatment planning.
Understanding of modalities such as moist heat and paraffin is necessary.
Applicants need to understand cardiopulmonary, musculoskeletal, nervous, and integumentary systems in the context of providing care.
Identifying learning needs of patients or family members is essential.
Collaboration with the team for patient progression throughout the therapy care system is required.

Physical demands involve constant walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
