PLC Commissioning Engineer

Overview

Works at a client site to commission and validate Rockwell control systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute automation commissioning and validation protocols
• Troubleshoot and remediate commissioning and validation non-conformances
• Work in team environment with engineers from RoviSys and clients to provide state of the art Control Systems to improve efficiency, product quality, and profitability of process manufacturing
• Define and implement programmable logic controller (PLC) configurations
• Testing and on-site commissioning and qualification of control systems
• Mentor less experienced engineers

Qualifications

• 2-8 years of experience in automation or related field
• Demonstrates the ability to perform technical responsibilities
• Communicate effectively and professionally with both customers and colleagues to present new ideas, accomplish challenging goals, and solve problems
• Ability to executed assignments with little supervision and guidance
• Self-motivated, excellent communication skills, and enjoy working with people
• Hands-on experience with current PLC or DCS platforms

Desired Qualifications:

• B.S. in Electrical, Computer, or Chemical Engineering or Engineering Technology
• Electrical design fundamentals
• Experience with: Microsoft Windows and Rockwell Automation platforms
• Process Control Fundamentals
• Awareness of process safety, validation, and good documentation practices
