About the Role
Turn/River is looking for a Marketing Manager to support the Investment Development team in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and champions at our target accounts. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will play a key role in identifying, engaging, and converting potential investment opportunities through account-based marketing strategies, targeted campaigns, and high-impact events.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in marketing, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and a passion for crafting compelling content that drives engagement. You'll collaborate across departments and with external vendors to create high-quality marketing materials, manage outreach campaigns, and refine marketing strategies tailored to enterprise software businesses. This role also requires a deep understanding of Turn/River's growth operations approach and Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), enabling independent planning of the marketing and events calendar.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Develop a deep understanding of Turn/River's growth operations approach and ICP to independently plan and execute the marketing and events calendar
- Work closely with the Investment team to design campaigns that effectively target and engage potential investment opportunities
Content Development & Marketing Materials
- Plan and execute 5-6 live prospect webinars per year, ensuring strategic alignment with Turn/River's investment approach
- Develop marketing materials for the investment team, including pitch books, factsheets, and case studies
- Craft engaging written content that resonates with ICPs
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all marketing assets
Events & Communications
- Create event agendas, support presentation development, and engage with prospects to deliver high-impact events in key cities across the U.S. and Europe
- Support PR efforts by managing press releases, social media presence, and industry award submissions
Data & Marketing Operations
- Create reports and dashboards in Salesforce to measure marketing impact
- Work with the Investment team to refine outreach efforts and enhance engagement strategies
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in marketing at a software technology, financial services, private equity or venture capital firm
- Ability to deeply understand Turn/River's growth operations approach and ICP to create compelling, targeted content
- Strong writing, content generation, and presentation-building skills
- Demonstrated ability to independently plan and execute marketing strategies
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on producing high-quality work
- Eagerness to thrive in a cross-functional role, collaborating across departments and with external stakeholders
- Hands-on experience with HubSpot or other marketing automation tools (landing pages, email campaigns, nurture sequences)
Location
- San Francisco, hybrid work model
Compensation
- The annual base salary range for this role is $150,000 - 170,000 taking into account numerous variable factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and organizational requirements.
