GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

The Revenue Cycle Manager oversees all activities of the Revenue Cycle Team including, but not limited to, professional coding and charge entry, prior authorization, patient financial estimates, coding denial management, A/R team management and other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties:
  • Employee Management -Evaluates performance of departmental staff. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and supervising staff. Recommends promotions, increases, and transfers. Develops staff performance goals and objectives. Completes performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
  • Establishes and maintains interdepartmental relationships and communication to facilitate cooperation and compliance.
  • Analyzes and reviews coding denials from payors to determine reasons for denial, correction of the denials, and correction of processes to reduce or eliminate denials.
  • Reviews the coding of departmental personnel for accuracy and determines if medical records are properly documented.
  • Supports activities to improve coding education opportunities, prior authorization workflow opportunities as well as patient financial estimate improvement opportunities.
  • Manages and monitors activities of department, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Maintains and communicates knowledge regarding Federal, State, and local revenue cycle related compliance guidelines.
  • Develops and implements standardized processes for routine monitoring of OrthoIndy coding and abstracting.
  • Communicate with patients assist in resolution of complaints or concerns

    ADP, Athena, Incident Reporting, Meditech, Microsoft Office, myhELO, PACS, SIS, Synapse

    Other various Payor and Vendor related systems.

    Requirements:
  • Associates Degree or equivalent required
  • 6-8 years of experience required / 8-10 years of experience preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and high level of accuracy and attention to detail a must
