Description:
Defines the architecture of a computerized system (i.e., a system composed of software and hardware) in order to fulfill certain requirement, including a breakdown of the system into components, the component interactions and interfaces (including with the environment, especially the user), and the technologies and resources to be used in the design.
Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
Provide a short description of the Position:
Systems Architect for e-MPIRE Taxpayer and Revenue Accounting systems within the ITS Division of Dedicated Support to the Department of Tax and Finance.
Provide a list of the day to day tasks to be performed by the Selected Candidate:
The selected candidate will be responsible for all phases of the System Development Life Cycle for a multi-tiered
processing system. The responsibilities will include guiding and defining architecture requirements for both new
development as well as maintenance tasks. Specific tasks will include:
Responsible for guiding the architectural design for new development and system enhancements.
Responsible for coordinating the technical solutions among various technical support groups.
Presentations of Architecture solutions to management and technical support areas.
Performing architectural mappings of current applications and services into a central catalogue.
Guiding requirements gathering sessions.
Guiding the analysis of requirements and system design work.
Development of technical design documents and program specifications.
Coding, unit and integration testing of programming assignments.
Writing and tuning SQL
Technical Support of user testing efforts.
Performance analysis and tuning of new and existing applications.
Identify and document SDLC processes based on client specific requirements
Production support tasks including analysis of issues. Propose and implement solutions.
Mentoring of less experienced staff would be required.
