Description:
Essential Functions:
- Approaches work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, and engages in Producers Dairy Mission Statement to identify value, prioritize resources and maximize improvement opportunities.
- Effective leadership for Accounting team members, including Accounting, Costing and Customer Service/Order Entry.
- Responsible for the performance management, ongoing coaching and hiring of the employees within the department.
- Develops and coordinates annual department budgets, including capital and cash flow.
- Manages daily cash requirements and monthly cash projections.
- Oversees inventory management and monthly physical inventory assignments and calculations.
- Prepares monthly reports of results, monthly forecasts, annual operating plan, and strategic planning.
- Responsible for internal controls for operations, sales and finance.
- Analyzes and accurately reports current month's financial results within the applicable format and time requirements.
- Collaborates with department leadership to support the overall financial goals and objectives of Producers Dairy.
- Submits all financial transactions, transmissions, and reporting on a timely and accurate basis.
- Ensures accuracy of the physical inventory and reported results. Investigates and explains book to physical adjustments.
- Analyze potential excess and obsolete inventory items monthly.
- Reconcile all inter-company accounts monthly.
- Analyze internal controls to ensure assets are adequately safeguarded and results are accurately reported.
- Assure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Policies. Resolve questions of GAAP and internal controls with Director.
- Implement and maintain comprehensive internal controls consistent with Producers Dairy policies to ensure appropriate use and protection of all assets.
- Review all plant capital requests and ensure accuracy of investment justification.
- Lead SKU rationalization review and recommendation for the business.
- Complete special projects, duties and assignments, as appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned.
