Department Overview
Electric Asset Management is responsible for the electric system engineering and planning, asset strategy, and risk management across transmission, distribution, and substation asset families. Within our Asset Management organization, the distribution inspections strategy team leads development of strategy and guidance for distribution asset inspection and patrol programs for 2.3 million electric distribution structures, ensuring these programs are effectively identifying equipment conditions that are critical to address and operating in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.
Position Summary
Leads development of strategy and guidance for distribution asset inspection and patrol programs for 2.3M Electric Distribution structures. Ensures program is operating effectively in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements. Responsibilities typically include some or most of the following to ensure attainment of program metrics/objectives.
The ideal candidate thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment and collaborates well with internal stakeholders. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top half of the range described below, but the decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $140,000
Bay Area Maximum: $238,000

- Partnering with Regulatory and Compliance staff to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and support regulatory activities by supplying information for filings, data requests, and meeting with regulators.
- Developing and/or implementing policies and procedures
- Developing annual budgets and forecasts
- Developing, measuring and reporting on success of the program
- Managing major cross-functional projects and initiatives
- Identifying and maintaining strong working relationships with all strategic programs and partners
- Identifying stakeholders and communicate within and outside of PG&E
- Executing inspection programs including contracting and oversight of vendors

Job Responsibilities
- Collaborates with Standards, Asset Family Owners, Asset Knowledge Management, Quality Control, Tag Commitment Delivery, and Risk teams to define preventive maintenance strategy
- Lead development of guidance documents and procedures related to inspections
- Supports the development of the annual Wildfire Mitigation Plan and managing/executing commitments
- Supports General Rate Case, Wildfire Mitigation Plan, and other regulatory activities
- Facilitates changes to tools and systems including Foundry, mobile applications, and SAP
- Responds to internal and external data requests
- Leads corrective actions from audits and root cause evaluations
- Manages relationship with and provides direction to System Inspections
- Supports preparation and review of metrics and reports
- Identifies new partners, technologies, and delivery channels.
- Develops annual program expense budget and forecasts
- Develop succinct findings from complex data analyses, presents findings, and makes recommendations to management.
- Works with all levels of management and senior leadership across functions to influence decisions.
- Mentors and provides guidance to less experienced colleagues.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- Job-related experience, 10 years
Desired:
- Masters Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
- PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification
- Experience in developing strategies with cross-functional teams
- Experience working with large datasets (preferably in Foundry, SAP, or GIS)
