Position Overview: Our beautiful 420 bed hospital in Lancaster CA is currently seeking a Licensed Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team, working between the inpatient & outpatient setting. As a Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in implementing rehabilitative programs aimed at improving patient quality of life. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with patients in a dynamic outpatient environment.
Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assist the Occupational Therapist in assessing patients' conditions and needs.
- Implement therapeutic exercises and interventions based on treatment plans.
- Monitor and document patients' progress and response to treatments.
- Collaborate closely with the therapy team to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and functional activities.

Essential Functions of the Occupational Therapist Assistant Role:
- Assist in evaluation of client's daily living skills and capacities to determine extent of abilities and
- limitations
- Assist in planning and implementing educational, vocational, and recreational programs and activities established by registered Occupational Therapist, designed to restore, reinforce, and enhance task performances, diminish or correct pathology, and to promote and maintain health and self-sufficiency
- Communicate with staff and other health team members, to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs
Qualifications (Text Only)
Experience and Skills Required for Occupational Therapist Assistant Position:
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year Occupational Therapist Assistant accredited college or technical school required
