Job Title: Manufacturing - Process Engineer

Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 per year, plus 1 stock share for every $1 in salary

Overview:

A dynamic role for an experienced Process Engineer focused on sensor surface etching or polishing processes. You will drive process optimization, continuous improvement, and safety while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support production and new product introductions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Ownership: Manage sensor fabrication processes, including etching and polishing, ensuring efficiency and high quality.
  • Continuous Improvement: Apply lean, SPC, and 6-sigma methodologies to improve yields, throughput, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Safety & Quality: Conduct safety risk assessments, implement engineering controls, and resolve process issues promptly.
  • Problem Solving: Lead proactive and reactive initiatives to identify and eliminate root causes of process deviations.
  • Collaboration: Work with Production, R&D, and Test Engineering teams to develop new process capabilities and ensure smooth product transitions.
  • Documentation & Training: Develop and maintain work instructions and production documentation, training team members as needed.
  • Data Analysis: Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) using advanced Excel or SAS JMP.
  • Project Management: Coordinate tasks and track progress using project management tools (e.g., Jira).

Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Chemical, or Materials Science & Engineering.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in a manufacturing or process engineering role, preferably with a background in silicon chip, MEMS, or sensor manufacturing.
  • Technical Skills:Proven ability in complex electronic or sensor fabrication and continuous improvement projects.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems, including SOPs, process control, and change management.
  • Proficiency in data analysis using advanced Excel or SAS JMP.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills; comfortable leading or working in teams.
  • Other Requirements:Must have color vision for interpreting color-coded safety markers and production processes.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
