The Product Architect is responsible for ensuring the maximum value of technological products and features developed by teams. This role requires a strong mix of business acumen, technical expertise, and stakeholder management skills to successfully translate business needs into technical requirements while preserving the overall product vision and quality. These products consist of several custom applications built primarily on a modern Microsoft/Azure stack.

Responsibilities:
  • Defining User Stories and Acceptance Criteria:
    • Write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria to guide the development team.
  • Prioritizing the Product Backlog:
    • Maintain and prioritize product backlog to ensure the most valuable features are developed first.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Acting as a bridge between stakeholders to keep everyone aligned and informed about the product's progress.
    • Collaborate with development team on technical direction.
  • Sprint Planning and Review:
    • Participating in sprint planning meetings and reviewing completed work to ensure it meets standards.
  • Continuous Feedback and Improvement:
    • Gathering feedback from stakeholders and users to continuously improve the product.
  • Architecture Strategy Planning:
    • Decisions about feature development and technical debt and ensure product vision and roadmap alignment with overall enterprise architecture.
  • Communication and Influence:
    • Engage in a proactive manner with internal customers to understand and support current and long-term needs.
    • Translate technical concepts into business value propositions for diverse stakeholders, building consensus across different business units while navigating competing priorities and resource constraints.
  • Cultural Aptitude:
    • Provide service leadership and collaboration mindset.
    • Exhibit an attitude of empathy, understanding, and learning when interacting with coworkers.

  • Requirements:
    • Minimum of 5 years of software development experience.
    • Strong business process understanding.
    • Strong leadership and communication.
    • Excellent time management, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills.
    • Strong planning and organization, managing competing demands and prioritizing work to meet commitments.
    • Strong collaboration and problem solving.
    • Strong understanding of agile methodologies.
    • Strong understanding of software development tools and processes.
    • Self-driven, motivated, results oriented.
    • Understanding of Microsoft technologies, products and services.
    • Bachelor's degree in business, information technology or related field preferred.
