LEGENDS & THE PROJECT | A'S LAS VEGAS BALLPARK As one of the leaders of this exciting project, you will play a pivotal role in driving Ticket Sales and Service for the new A's Las Vegas Ballpark. The A's plan to break ground on their new ballpark on the former site of the Tropicana hotel in the summer of 2025. Shaped by its location on the Las Vegas Strip, the 33,000-person capacity ballpark will offer an outdoor feel with a climate-controlled interior. With over 30 unique seating experiences, the ballpark will feature various experiences for fans, from premium suites to more casual, interactive seating options. The tiered seating is designed to bring fans closer to the action, with some of the closest seats to home plate in all of MLB. The A's are set to host their first Opening Day at the new ballpark in 2028. THE ROLE The Director, Ticket Sales and Service will be responsible for developing and executing ticket sales and service strategies that maximize revenue for all season tickets, clubs and other ticketed hospitality offerings related to the new stadium. This position will be responsible for building a high-performing, collaborative, and motivated ticket sales team, hiring, training, supervising, and inspiring a positive and dynamic sales culture. The ideal candidate should have multiple years of first-hand sales and management experience with a strong emphasis on recruiting and developing top talent. They should be comfortable analyzing ticket sales performance metrics, data analytics, and utilizing the information available to forecast and drive decision making. The Director, Ticket Sales and Service should be comfortable speaking in public, a proven team leader, and able to create and manage a positive and dynamic sales culture. Fluency in digital marketing, experience working closely with data analytics and managing multiple complex sales campaigns will be critical to success. The ideal candidate possesses a strong passion for leadership and positive enthusiasm for team collaboration. This role will require close collaboration with the A's team to ensure the brand and partner relationships are protected, elevated and enhanced throughout the new stadium campaign. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be accountable for annual revenue goals, pipeline management, and forecasting for season ticket products.
- Recruit, interview, hire, train and develop Managers and Account Executives
- Create and implement regular ticket sales training initiatives to increase sales rep productivity and elevate overall sales team performance.
- Analyze historical and current ticket sales data and performance metrics to determine future calling campaigns and new lead sources for the sales team.
- Work to create dashboards and virtual CRM reports to manage and track campaign performance and sales rep productivity.
- Participate in planning meetings to discuss cross-departmental revenue opportunities and collaborate with other team members to support and further the sales department goals.
- Assist in creating marketing campaigns, inventory management, and season ticket benefit plans.
- Assist in the creation and management of the ticket sales and service budget and business plan.
- Responsible for daily revenue tracking, campaign management and the regular communication of sales team performance to the Legends team.
- Manage inter-organizational relationships to support sharing of best practices, close collaboration and integration between internal, external, and vendor stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree
- 8+ years' successful sales management experience (sports business a plus)
- Proven leadership experience in a sales and service environment, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
- Experience in the Las Vegas Market is a plus.
- Skilled in analyzing data, developing concise recommendations, and presenting to executive leadership
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to develop strong working relationships with partners, teammates, and other stakeholders
- Ability to manage a high level of detail across multiple projects and to prioritize efficiently
- High emotional intelligence, intellectual curiosity, and desire to grow professionally
- Ability to prioritize and meet competing deadlines independently while staying hyper focused on overall COI.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while remaining organized, efficient, and calm under pressure
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
