Guaranteed Hours: Full-Time
Experience: Minimum 1 year
License: State licensure required - Texas: MRT by TMB
Certifications: Radiology (R) by ARRT, BLS required
Must-Have: Basic computer experience
Job Description:
- Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures and provide support for other imaging technologists as needed.
- Demonstrate flexibility in working various shifts and locations as required.
- Troubleshoot basic maintenance issues and resolve problems related to image processing and archiving systems.
- Participate in ongoing education, safety, and technological advances within the scope of licensure.
- Adhere to and maintain imaging competencies as outlined by management.
- Exhibit behavior and communication skills that align with the organization's mission, values, and culture.
- Maintain consistency with administrative and departmental policies, including appropriate behavior, dress, attitude, attendance, confidentiality, professionalism, and reliability.
- Promote staff growth, development, and employee engagement by collaborating with management, coworkers, and physicians.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care as required by state and federal agencies, the hospital, and other regulatory entities.
- Perform examinations/procedures to assist in patient throughput within the scope of licensure and competencies.
- Ensure completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS and follow PACS downtime procedures as a Superuser.
- Report equipment malfunctions and follow up appropriately.
- Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate diverse needs, including physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and age-specific considerations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
