Experience: Five years of professional experience with two years in management

License: Current and valid state Pharmacy license

Certifications:
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- Must have hospital experience (inpatient or outpatient)
- ER experience required
- Recent hospital experience required

Job Description:

- Direct, manage, and supervise daily administrative operations to ensure the highest quality service and delivery, consistent with professional, regulatory, and governmental standards.
- Develop operational and financial outcome measures, tracking, and monitoring systems, integrating them into organization-wide Quality Improvement systems.
- Direct, implement, and evaluate the development of departmental, functional, and service-related policies and procedures.
- Proactively assess program, service, and functional effectiveness, facilitating continuous process improvement.
- Develop and supervise staff, providing timely feedback and using appropriate Human Resource policies and tools to ensure professional growth and performance standards.
- Plan, direct, implement, and evaluate computer-based information and dispensing systems for efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage and supervise purchasing and inventory management functions for cost-effective inventory management and timely availability of pharmaceuticals.
- Facilitate professional growth by assessing learning needs and coordinating learning opportunities.
- Prepare monthly progress and operational reports, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations.
- Participate in departmental orientation, on-the-job training, and quality assurance programs and initiatives.
- Engage in department and hospital educational programs to maintain current skills and competencies, working with the Supervisor to identify performance or training needs.
- Perform other duties as requested.

Unit Policies:

- Use Kronos for clocking in and out (no overtime, clock-in on time)
- Lunch breaks are required
- Overtime requires manager signature
- Report injuries, COVID-19, sick calls to the Manager or Supervisor
- Call in with a 2-hour notice for missed shifts
- Client can cancel one shift every two weeks
- Dress Code: Scrub color Caribbean Blue or Business professional. Closed-toe shoes. Natural hair color. Short nails with no unnatural nails. Tattoos should be non-offensive. Piercings should not be excessive, with no facial piercings.
