Pharmacist (Round Rock, TX)

Overview

Responsible for filling and dispensing prescribed drugs in a healthcare facility environment. This position is also responsible for transferring prescriptions, handling incoming physician calls, logging data into the computer, and Drug Utilization Review.

Responsibilities

Daily Job Duties:

• Formulates, recommends, implements, and monitors the provision of pharmacy services and resource utilization for all pharmacy
• Compounds and dispenses prescribed
• Maintains inventory at respective pharmaceutical
• Provides high quality patient care, information, assistance and counseling or referrals to appropriate
• Verifies all prescriptions are safely and accurately dispensed at the
• Prepare and maintain required
• Answers drug information questions and performs consultation services for patients and Lone Star Circle of Care
• Extracts pertinent information from patients, or other sources and apply them to the patient's medical management
• Supervises site support staff at pharmacy
• All other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Pharmacy

Compliance:

• Conduct patient regimen review
• Follows all required rules, laws, and regulations required of a pharmacy in the state of
• Inspects pharmaceutical areas, sometimes external of physical pharmacy, to verify compliance with all laws, rules, and
• Performs projects assigned by the Director of
• Attends and participates in Pharmacy and Therapeutic (P&T) Committee and Quality meetings, if requested by the Director of Pharmacy

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSE:

• Current State of Texas Registered Pharmacist license (TSBP)
• Bachelor or Doctor of Pharmacy degree

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSE:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
