The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE:
Maintains 24 hour-a-day accountability for all patient care and nursing activities on assigned inpatient unit. Oversees and directs unit activities including standards development, human resource management, assessment of resource needs and utilization, staff development and communication within nursing practice as well as among other disciplines and departments. Oversees all performance improvement activities at the unit level and participates in committees at all levels within the institution.
FT position available with on-call responsibilities
Seeking a dynamic individual to manage the NeuroMedicine Intensive Care Unit. This position requires competency to work in a fast-paced, technologically demanding patient care environment including clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and willingness to work on highly diverse multidisciplinary team. The nurse manager is responsible for assessing and addressing patient and staff satisfaction, management of the unit budget, staff education, and optimizing patient flow. This individual is responsible for 24/7 management supported by the unit's leadership team. The candidate must be flexible, possess excellent communication, collaboration and critical thinking skills, with 5 years ICU experience and an MS in Nursing or equivalent.
