We are hiring for a Sr. Technical Program Manager to help drive new software, algorithmic & firmware feature development for the Amazon Dash cart, as well as other confidential programs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on the cross-discipline system architecture (research, computer vision, hardware, firmware, software) to scale and power the next generation of Dash carts into retail spaces.

The ideal candidate will be highly technical, creative and able to drive solutions in collaboration with other teams and stakeholders.

You must be fully competent in a variety of project management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle and exhibit demonstrated proficiency in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, reporting and metric development/tracking.

Job Responsibilities:

- Work with engineering and product management to translate business requirements into technical/functional specifications for our firmware & computer vision/algorithms teams.

- Build project plans, balancing business needs with project risks and resource availability.

- Drive engineering project execution, make technical tradeoffs, track and report on status, and resolve blocking issues.

- Coordinate cross-team efforts spanning dozens of retail services and tools teams.

- Assist with recruiting, hiring process, and growing the team

Key job responsibilities

- Program manage a Day-zero product line

- Coordination span across 6-8 SW teams, 2 ML teams and 2 HW teams

- Enable team to operate efficiently using your project management super powers

- Stakeholder management to align on goals and deliverables.

- Reporting and communicate clearly and effectively with developers, business owners, and senior business leaders.

- Drive engineering project execution, make technical tradeoffs, track and report on status, and resolve blocking issues.

- Build project plans, balancing business needs with project risks and resource availability.

- Work with engineering and product management to translate business requirements into technical/functional specifications for our firmware & computer vision/algorithms teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

- 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
