Title: Project Engineer (Instrumentation and Controls)

Instrumentation & Controls (I/C) Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Perform I/C project duties and support projects as required.
- Conduct component selection and logic sequence design.
- Interface with controls suppliers, vendors, consultants, and contractors.
- Review I/C information and drawings from sub-contractors.
- Develop Functional Descriptions, Sequences of Operation, Equipment Manuals, System Descriptions, and design criteria for I/C systems.
- Assist in establishing control methodology and strategy in collaboration with Project and Process Engineering teams.
- Create various I/C drawings, including SAMA diagrams (both analog and digital), electrical drawings, and one-line drawings.
- Design operator screens for system interfaces.
- Define safety system criteria for I/C design.
- Participate in sub-contractor shop testing (FAT), equipment testing, and project start-up activities.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Programming Allen-Bradley PLC products, with emphasis on the ControlLogix family (ControlLogix and CompactLogix) and familiarity with SLC 500 and MicroLogix.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PanelView and PanelView Plus products.
- Proficiency in Allen-Bradley FactoryTalk View products (ME and SE).
- Knowledge of additional PLC platforms is welcomed and will be considered.
- Instrumentation and device setup, including flow, pressure, temperature, and control valves, as well as loop checks and troubleshooting.
Education & Experience:
- B.S. in Engineering (Electrical strongly preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience as a Project Engineer with an instrumentation and controls focus, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
