Job Description:
Essential Functions:
- Manages and supervises the daily operations of the department, outpatient clinic, and procedure rooms. Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective departmental functioning. Ensures compliance with all accrediting bodies, and governmental, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
- Oversees the recruitment, training, and performance lifecycle of departmental staff. Assists in establishing annual performance metrics for the service line including research, clinical, financial, etc. and analyses departmental performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implementation of action.
- Assists the Chiefs in establishing annual performance metrics for the service line including research, clinical, financial, etc.
- Collaborates to support, implement, and coordinate physician recruitment and retention, compensation and incentive programs, schedules, and templates.
- Works closely with the Division Chief, Section Chief and PAA Administration to implement and monitor physician compensation and incentive programs.
- Works closely with Division Chief, Section Chief, PAA Administration and Central Scheduling to assure physician schedules and templates are built and implemented to achieve the organizations goals around access and scheduling.
- Works closely with Planning, Marketing, Information Services, Billing, etc. to develop and implement service line plans and activities.
- Facilitates change management and oversees major projects including operational restructuring. Monitors and administers activity, revenue, expense, annual operating, and capital projects. Analyses, monitors, and controls allocations for financial, human, and material resources.
- Facilitates and completes annual operating and capital budgets for the service line. Monitors and administers activity, revenue, expense, and capital budgets. Analyses, monitors, and controls allocations for financial, human, and material resources.
- Initiates, promotes, and stimulates the continuous performance improvement process to improve clinical, service, administrative, educational and customer service outcomes. Collaborates with other departments to ensure seamless patient care and optimal resource utilization.
Education Requirement:
Master's Degree in Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Nursing or related field, or equivalent education and experience, required.
