Job Description:
Acclaim Multi-Specialty Group is Looking for a Neurosurgery APPThe Neurosurgery Advanced Practice Provider practices under the supervising physician and is responsible for assisting with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments, and consultations within the inpatient/outpatient setting. Candidates will work alongside and directly support neurosurgeon in the OR, hospital rounds, and clinic. On-call is required. This is an excellent opportunity to join a group of talented physicians providing expert neurological care at a Level 1 Trauma Center.
Responsibilities include:
Assists in the delivery of medical care to the patient by reviewing and monitoring treatment and therapy plans in the inpatient and outpatient settings
Obtains medical and personal histories, performs physical exams, orders appropriate laboratory, diagnostic and radiographic tests and interprets results
Educates patients and families regarding the plan of care
Performs clinical procedures under direction of attending physician according to approved hospital protocols
Works in conjunction with orthopedic residents for the management of spine patients
Assists surgeon in the operating room on spinal and cranial cases
Conducts bedside interventions with the supervision of attending provider including placement of intracranial pressure monitors, external ventricular drains, and lumbar drains

Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing OR Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program required
2 years of experience working as an Advanced Practice Provider in Neurosurgery preferred
First-Assist certification recommended
DEA license required
