Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop PCB layouts based on product specifications and requirements.
- Conduct schematic capture and circuit design to support the development of new electronic products.
- Utilize Altium Designer and Eagle for PCB design and layout.
- Perform electronics prototyping and testing to verify design functionality and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any design issues or failures during testing phases.
- Select appropriate components for PCB designs, ensuring compatibility and availability.
- Implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to optimize the production process.
- Create and review Gerber files for fabrication and ensure accuracy in manufacturing documentation.
- Analyze signal integrity and perform necessary simulations to validate design effectiveness.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure timely project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 2+ years of experience with PCB layout and routing
Preferred
- Experience with passive and active components, RF components, and high pin density designs
- Experience with ECAD libraries, understand manufacturability and assembly, and be skilled in Mentor Xpedition or Altium Designer
- Experience with various design standards, component monitoring, and scripting
- Experience with mixed analog and digital designs, high-speed buses, FPGA, DRAM, and CPU designs
- Experience with power supplies, DC-DC converters, transmission lines, impedance-controlled traces, and power traces
- Experience with MIL-STD, commercial, and IPC standards and design.
