Located in Central Florida, LifeStream primarily serves the residents of Lake, Citrus and Sumter Counties, with additional programs located in Orange, Marion, Hernando counties.

JOB SUMMARY: Oversees the implementation, integration and coordination of assigned Center's acute care services to enhance successful outcomes based on the Center's Strategic Plan, Plan for Services and budgets. Provides direct supervision to the Center's Program AVPs/Directors/Managers/Supervisors, as assigned by the CEO in the Table of Organization.

More specifically, the Chief Hospital Officer (CHO) is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the hospital and advising on policy implementation across all departments. They report directly to the CEO and provide valuable insight that informs a CEO's final decision. The duties can change based on the need but in addition to
overseeing daily operations consist of: connecting hospital department leaders regularly to ensure practices are consistent throughout the organization and decipher needs related to staff or resources, meeting with stakeholder to discuss operations and future opportunities, ensuring quality patient care is provided, coordinating department operations so that each department works well independently and as a collective institution, managing the hospital's daily financial operations, and advising staffing procedures.

  • Directs scope of clinical and administrative service provision via discussion of Center's Mission with the Executive Management Team.
  • Collaborates with all members of the executive leadership team specifically the Chief Financial Officer, CFO, and the Chief Executive Officer, or CEO, to ensure that the hospital has the necessary medical and administrative staff to meet patient demands and budget constraints.
  • Conceptualizes service delivery for the array of acute care services and continuum of care provided by the Center, establishes goals and engages in improving the programs' outcomes and effectiveness in line with service necessity and fiscal concerns.
  • Interview & hire providers; Negotiate contracts
  • Orchestrate and implement new business strategies while maintaining tight budgetary guidelines
  • Must have clear understanding of the full array of services provided by the Center
  • Must have a good working knowledge of all federal, state, and local statutes and regulations pertaining to the provision of acute care services, fiscal management, and supervision of the organization and its employees.
  • Ability to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of the Center's Strategic Plan, its program directives and goals.
  • Displays excellent working knowledge of behavioral healthcare standards.
  • Demonstrates the ability to direct and motivate staff.
  • Ability to provide immediate direction in crisis situations that require real time solutions.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education:
  • Master's level degree required
  • Doctorate level degree preferred
  • Board Certifications preferred

Experience:
  • Minimum of ten (10) years post graduate experience as a program or administrative services
    manager.
  • Experience in financial management, business development, program planning, process
    improvements and contract negotiations.
