The Senior Manager Accounts Payable and Process Transformation will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the Accounts Payable function. This position requires a seasoned people leader with strong expertise in business transformation, to drive improvements in processes, systems, and controls. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in successfully leading Accounts Payable teams through change, enhancing operational efficiency, implementing best practices for scalability, and supporting team growth and development.

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with department senior leadership to define and execute the strategic vision for Accounts Payable operations, aligning with broader organizational goals.
  • Work closely with department senior leadership to define and manage Accounts Payable metrics, KPIs, and process improvements.
  • Drive business transformation initiatives within the Accounts Payable function, including process automation, system upgrades, and the implementation of best practices. The ideal candidate has experience working in Ariba, in addition to a cloud-based enterprise size ERP.
  • Work closely with the Accounts Payable Manager to lead, manage, and oversee day-to-day operations and ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Procurement, IT) to streamline processes and ensure seamless integration of systems.
  • Review and optimize existing workflows, controls, and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as well as internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee the resolution of complex payment issues, vendor disputes, and escalations, while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and development opportunities to the Accounts Payable team.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Accounts Payable or similar Business Transformation role, with at least 7 years in a managerial role.
  • Demonstrated experience in Business Transformation initiatives, specifically within Accounts Payable or finance operations. Experience with Ariba business transformation initiatives a plus.
  • Experience in leading change management initiatives within a finance or shared services environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and A/P industry best practices.
  • Expertise in AP automation tools and ERP systems (knowledge of NetSuite a plus). Expertise in technical reporting writing a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proven ability to drive operational improvements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with senior leaders.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities, with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs.
