General Description
Serve as the Chief Financial Officer. Oversee the financial operation of the long-term care facility by performing complex professional, financial and fiscal management. Directs and oversees budgeting, audits, tax, accounting, purchasing and insurance activities for the facility. Analyzes, consolidates and directs all cost accounting procedures. Supervising resident accounts, accounts payable and procurement, including inventory. Directs and analyzes studies of general economic, business and financial conditions and their impact on the facility. Directs, analyzes and resolves complex clinical applications involving staffing, equipment, cost containment, space availability and assignment, work simplifications, report requirements, productivity, and management information systems. Able to maintain and troubleshoot complex programs. Appraises the facility financial position and issues periodic reports on the budget. Assure the hospital is in compliance with regulatory requirements. Computer skills are necessary. Applicants selected for employment must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug screening test. All employees shall be subject to drug testing for probable cause as set forth in agency and bureau policies. Applicants must successfully pass a background check. Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
Five (5) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in professional accounting/auditing work or overseeing financial operations.
Internal Applicants Only:
Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience as an Accountant and/or Senior Accountant may substitute for the required education and experience.
Substitution Information: Additional education and experience may be substituted based on a year-for-year basis or as determined by the Office of Shared Administration Equivalency Chart.
