Siemens Smart Infrastructure Electronics R&D Team is expanding at their Peachtree Corners, GA location. As our product line evolves into a more connected system architecture through communications, we are looking to add software development expertise for our wired and wireless communicating products incorporating IoT security, and data collection / analysis based on artificial intelligence.

Join our team as we together build technologies to create safe and efficient next generation electrical circuit protection, intelligent energy source selection, intuitive power distribution, control, and monitoring for the smart residential market.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mobile App Developer to join our dynamic team in the Atlanta GA area. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms using technologies such as React Native framework, Xamarin, Flutter, .Net MAUI, Ionic and other native technologies.

You will make an impact with the following duties:
  • Technology Evaluation & Architecture:
    • Conduct comprehensive architecture analysis to evaluate and compare various mobile development technologies, including assessment of third-party and open-source software components for safe and secure releases.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Requirement Translation:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software/firmware, electrical hardware, mechanical, project management, verification, and validation) to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Development & Coding Practices:
    • Design and develop robust, scalable, and efficient mobile applications using cross-platform technologies (React Native, Flutter, etc.), writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Testing & Optimization:
    • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables, optimize app performance and user experience, and troubleshoot/resolve bugs and technical issues.
  • Continuous Improvement & Code Review:
    • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in mobile app development, participate in code reviews, and provide constructive feedback.

Basic Requirements
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline is required. Advanced degree (Master's/ PhD degree) can be substituted for industry experience.
  • 5+ years of experience developing software for Mobile Applications for connected products in consumer electronics or industrial applications.
  • Combination of 3+ years of experience with the following:
    • Experience in building mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms is a must.
    • Strong proficiency in React Native and JavaScript.
    • Familiarity with APIs and backend integration and CI/CD automation experience.
    • Solid understanding of mobile app development processes and lifecycles. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills is necessary.
    • Using necessary writing skills to create measurable software requirements and design documentation.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Build & Deployment: Cross-platform/native build tools, provisioning, and deployment workflows using tools like GitLab, Firebase, TestFlight, Xcode, Android Studio, Visual Studio, etc...)
  • Software Lifecycle & Testing: Source control (Git), test automation, TDD, and testing tools (Unity, SonarQube) as well as version control tools like Rational ClearCase.
  • IoT & Wireless: Development with Bluetooth, BLE, Wi-Fi.
  • Cloud & Security: Secure cloud architecture, UI/UX, and SaaS security.
  • Hardware & Measurement: Electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, DC power supplies, etc...)
  • Agile & Process: Agile methodologies and software development process.
  • Professional Skills: Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, and independent work ethic.

  • The pay range for this position is $100,450 - $172,200 plus incentive. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
