The Opportunity
We are hiring a Principal Scientist, Immunology to join Rezo's Biology Team. In this role, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary group combining genetics, proteomics, structural biology, and AI to tackle challenging biological questions and develop transformative therapies. This opportunity allows you to leverage your expertise in cancer biology and immunology to develop and execute cutting-edge cellular assays for target validation and compound screening. Compensation at Rezo
The expected starting salary range for this position based in San Francisco, California for a Principal Scientist is $150,000 - $210,000. Actual starting salary will be determined based on multiple job-related factors including a candidate's skills, education, and experience, the level at which they are hired, market demand, business needs, and internal parity. This role is eligible for participation in our Annual Discretionary Bonus Plan (based on individual and company performance) and our Equity Incentive Plan, subject to the terms of those plans and associated policies. This position is also eligible for the benefits detailed below.

We are hiring a Principal Scientist, Immunology to join Rezo's Biology Team. Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize and develop assays to study immune cell signaling pathways in the context of inflammation and cancer.
- Develop, optimize, and perform immune phenotyping and functional assays, including multicolor flow cytometry (10+ colors), ICS, ELISpot, proliferation assays, and cytokine ELISA/MSD.
- Design and execute CRISPR-based genetic studies for target validation and mechanistic insights.
- Perform genetic manipulation of immune cells, using CRISPR/Cas9, siRNA, and lentivirus-based techniques, to evaluate target function and therapeutic potential.
- Analyze experimental data, interpret findings, and prepare reports for internal discussions, regulatory filings, and publications.
- Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams and effectively communicate scientific results.
- Manage multiple projects efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
Qualifications:
- PhD in immunology, or a related field with relevant postdoctoral or industry experience.
- Candidates with a Master's or Bachelor's degree and extensive expertise in immune cell manipulation and assay development are also encouraged to apply.
- Expertise with flow-cytometry and phenotyping immune cells.
- Proficiency in genetic manipulation of immune cells, including CRISPR/Cas9, siRNA, and lentiviral technologies.
- Strong understanding of immune cell signaling pathways.
- Skilled in developing immune cell functional assays and phenotypic screening assays to screen small molecule drug candidates.
- Proven ability to work independently while fostering collaboration in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
