Position Overview
Addison Group is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to manage Customer accounts, ensuring the efficiency of accounts receivable operations, invoicing accuracy, timely collection efforts, and reconciliation of customer accounts. This position will also oversee cash application processes, ensuring proper allocation of payments and resolution of discrepancies. Additionally, responsibilities include financial reporting, conducting aging analyses, and assisting with month-end closing tasks. The role involves ensuring adherence to accounting standards, supporting audits, and driving process enhancements to improve operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Account Management:
- Oversee accounts receivable, ensuring timely and precise invoicing, collections, and reconciliation of customer accounts.
- Monitor outstanding balances, identify overdue accounts, and collaborate with internal teams to implement effective collection strategies.
- Act as the primary liaison with customers and marketing teams to resolve billing concerns, disputes, and discrepancies.
- Perform periodic aging analysis and reporting to assess receivables performance and recommend improvements.
- Manage the cash application process, ensuring accurate and efficient posting of cash receipts to airline customer accounts.
- Investigate and resolve cash application discrepancies and variances.
- Track and analyze unapplied cash, unidentified payments, and unallocated funds, taking necessary actions for resolution.
- Collaborate with marketing, legal, and risk departments to resolve payment-related issues.
Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Analysis:
- Ensure accurate financial setup of lease agreements.
- Record receivables and cash application transactions within sub-ledger and general ledger systems.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, customer account statements, and reconciliations.
- Conduct financial analyses, identify key trends, and provide insights for decision-making.
- Present receivables and collections analyses to management periodically.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Assist in system upgrades or new implementations as needed.
Compliance and Process Optimization:
- Ensure adherence to accounting principles, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Continuously assess and enhance accounting workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Participate in both internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and providing support.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least three years of experience in public accounting
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and experience in financial statement preparation or auditing
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines efficiently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA is highly preferred
- Experience in financial analysis
