Capex Cost Analyst 5 (Business Analyst 5 - Production & Supply)

Job Description:
Seeking a highly experienced Capex Cost Analyst responsible for developing standardized cost estimating, forecasting processes, and analytical methodologies. Candidate will proactively challenge project cost estimates, maintain comprehensive cost databases, and implement cost evaluation methods supporting global governance standards.

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop standardized cost estimating and forecasting tools.
  
• Build and maintain a comprehensive database of project costs.
  
• Analyze project costs against internal and external benchmarks.
  
• Advise project teams on contemporary cost management tools.
  
• Conduct project cost audits, peer reviews, and challenge cost estimates when required.
  
• Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to implement improvements.
  
• Compile cost data for benchmarking and reporting purposes.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years experience in project cost evaluation across diverse project sizes/types (infrastructure, expansions, etc.).
  
• Strong project execution background, specifically contracting, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and contractor management.
  
• Proficient with contemporary business evaluation methods (NPV, cost analysis).
  
• Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  
• Demonstrated ability to challenge and drive improvement.
  
• Must be comfortable working independently in complex, global environments.

Education:

• BS/MS degree in industrial engineering, chemical sciences, or equivalent 5-year technical degree.
  
• Fluent in English; strong credibility and ability to influence leadership teams globally.
