Skills/Experience:
BSEE with 7+ years' experience in a related field.
A minimum of 2 years in simulation industry. Working knowledge of CAD applications, preferably MicroStation.
Demonstrated knowledge of electrical engineering concepts and practices
Understanding of NFPA 70: National Electrical Code; familiar with IEC standards
Proven ability to design electrical solutions from OEM data
Applicant should be functional with software such as MicroStation, and AutoCAD
Resourceful and knowledgeable in the development of spreadsheets and databases
Ability to work in a dynamic design environment
Working knowledge of Mil Specifications & Standards / ANSI is a plus
Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance

Requirements:
- Remains abreast of the most modern engineering concepts through personal initiative and continuing education programs applying this knowledge to assigned projects when appropriate. Coordinates activities with peer engineers and other project personnel in a manner that results in optimum efficiency and cost effectiveness
- Collects aircraft data for panels, instruments, systems and designs a simulation solution
- Collaborates with other engineering disciplines to develop design solutions for computational, network and data storage requirements
- Participates in preliminary / detailed design reviews internally and with our Customer
- Creates lighting and power distribution designs to support simulation models
- Creates system, cable and harness drawings in support of products related to flight simulation
- Uses knowledge of simulator and aircraft systems to analyze and interpret advanced technical data
- Ensures information flows within the design team
- Prepares work packages and reviews junior engineers design output
- Determines steps/methodology required to resolve a variety of technical problems
- Reviews internally developed technical publications for accurate representation of electrical product
- Authorizes documentation for release / change
- Develops engineering orders and documents engineering change notices to reflect the evolution of designs
