This position would require a hybrid work schedule of 3 days per week onsite and 2 days remote out of our Brentwood, TN office location.

The Manager, Strategic Development serves as an internal consultant preparing research and analyses for senior leadership that informs the company's strategy relative to both the core business and new initiatives. Prepares and analyzes financial models and market research and builds presentations. Maintains critical data sets and translates them into regular reporting. Manages ad hoc requests requiring the ability to independently research new subject areas and summarize findings. Supports the company's Annual Strategic Planning process consisting of quarterly leadership meetings and strategic goal setting.
  • Mines data from various internal and external sources, synthesizes into summary findings and disseminates routinely to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Analyzes competitor information including financials, contracts, news stories, business model innovations, and other pertinent areas.
  • Assists with updating and organizing key strategic data sets in Excel.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns from data to create new data analytics and new ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Conducts deep dive research into new subject areas. Parses large amounts of information to distill what is reliable and relevant.
  • Contributes to and reinforces Strategic Development best practices, including regular, timely, and accurate reporting.
  • Assists the M&A team, as needed, with due diligence research and formulating analyses on acquisition targets.
  • Assists in the Annual Strategic Planning process, which includes working cross functionally to gather data and compile research for quarterly leadership meetings.
  • Domestic U.S. travel may be required.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or other related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Two years of relevant work experience is required.
  • Experience in Corporate Strategy, Finance, Consulting, or Investment Banking is preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen with analytical, research and financial modeling skills is required.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of precision and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards for work product.
  • Proactive and highly organized with a demonstrated record of achieving results independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint is required.
