Faculty members are primarily responsible for the teaching and learning process in the classroom. Faculty members facilitate and ensure student learning and mastery of course, program, and institutional learning outcomes as defined in the curriculum and course syllabi. Faculty are supported and supervised by the Academic Dean, Program Director and/or Division Manager.
What We Offer: The targeted starting pay range for this position is between $55.00 - $70.00 per hour.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities: Faculty supervise student conduct in the classroom, on the campus, and on field trips and school related functions.

- Fulfills all duties enumerated within the Statement of Faculty Responsibilities
- Reviews and adheres to the guidelines in the Faculty Handbook.
- Prepares and executes lesson plans for assigned courses
- Prepares course syllabus and informs students of course requirements
- Documents grades and other student interaction in Campus Nexus within 48 hours
- Adheres to programmatic accrediting requirements
- Performs other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:
- MSN (or) MSN/Ed.
(MSN with min of 1yr teaching exp or MSN/Ed. without teaching exp and 1 approved BRN Specialty i.e. Med Surg, OB, Peds, Gero - MSN(or) MSN/Ed (+) (MSN with min of 1yr teaching exp in pre-licensure RN Program (or) MSN/Ed. both with additional specialties: Mental Health
- Must possess an active, unencumbered Registered Nursing license issued by the state of California.
- Master's or higher degree from an accredited college or university which includes coursework in
nursing, education, or administration. If degree other than in nursing submit information verifying course work in nursing education. (and) - Completion of at least one (1) years' experience teaching courses related to registered nursing (or) completion of a post-baccalaureate course which includes practice in teaching registered
nursing. Submit official course description to verify course content (has teaching experience in an RN Program and/or MSN/Ed. degree - Direct patient care experience within the last five (5) years in the nursing area to which he or she is assigned, which can be met by:
(A) One (1) year's continuous, full-time or its equivalent experience providing direct patient care as a registered nurse in the designated nursing area; (or )
(B) One (1) academic year of registered nurse level clinical teaching experience in the designated nursing area or its equivalent that demonstrates clinical competency (teaching at a prelicensure RN Program, not LVN or other allied health program)
