The Director of Women's Services is responsible for overseeing all activities and resources within the department to ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with clinical, administrative, and ethical standards.Essential Functions

• Develop and implement department goals, plans, and standards that align with organizational policies and healthcare regulations
• Manage department operations, including patient care, information technology systems, service levels, and complaint resolution
• Oversee staffing activities, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions, while ensuring ongoing staff education
• Manage departmental budgets, ensuring financial compliance and resource allocation
• Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits to maintain regulatory compliance
• Foster a professional development environment and integrate evidence-based practices into departmental procedures
• Serve as a key resource for staff regarding obstetrical and neonatal care issues

Minimum Education

• Associate's degree required
• Bachelor's degree preferred

Required Skills

• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills with the ability to work independently
• Ability to perform effectively under stress in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP), and AWHONN membership

Licenses

• Must hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky
