THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Licensed Psychologist Director, you will provide oversight and direction of clinical services for the habilitation, rehabilitation, and social development of delinquent youth in the Youth Development Center/Youth Forestry Camp (YDC/YFC). You will analyze, evaluate, and continuously develop clinical treatment programs, as well as oversee supervisory and non-supervisory employees. You will direct clinical treatment services, interpret policies and regulations, and implement best practices and minimum standards. This role requires effective communication skills to consult with psychiatrists, physicians, and professional staff concerning diagnostic evaluation and therapeutic treatment programs. In addition, you will participate in contract negotiations, facilitate clinical training sessions, and attend juvenile court and other hearings as necessary.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. May change based on operational needs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Licensed Psychologist Manager (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years as a Licensed Psychologist, MH or a Psychologist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration), one year of which must have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity; or
- Two years of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness and/or mental retardation, one year of which must have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity.
Special Requirements:
- You must be in possession of a current license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of psychology or possession of a current license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board. (Pennsylvania licensure must be obtained within one year of employment)
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be willing to accept employment at Loysville Youth Development Center and commute to this location in Perry County.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
