Plans, develops, manages, coordinates, markets and conducts training for the Workforce Development Division of Northeastern Technical College, including management and supervision of all employees and program activities.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
NETC Minimum Requirements: A master's degree in a related discipline, plus six (6) years of progressively responsible related work experience. Must have a valid driver's license. NETC Preferred Requirements: Experience working with industries to develop, implement, and complete industry-specific training programs. Experience in workforce development and grant project management.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to manage office, supervise employees, coordinate and develop training, serve as internal/external consultant, and develop and implement marketing strategies. Possesses excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work with upper level management in an efficient manner. Must be self-motived. Possesses integrity to work with business and agency heads. Ability to deal with interruptions and prepare response to continuous requests for training, workshops and seminars through working with agencies, consultants, other technical colleges and internal sources.
Additional Comments
The work environment requires professionalism in marketing programs and services, organizing response to community needs in a timely manner. Travel to meetings/conferences/workshops out of town. Evening/weekend hours to address special events.

Plans, develops, manages, coordinates, markets and conducts training for the Workforce Development Division of Northeastern Technical College, including management and supervision of all employees and program activities.
- Assists in the development and implementation of short and long-term plans for the Workforce Development Division that supports and contributes to the achievement of College strategic objectives, goals and its mission and evaluate the effectiveness of plans and activities. Ensures degree offerings meet the needs of the community, business, and industry served throughout the college service area of Chesterfield, Marlboro and Dillon Counties including conducting Advisory Board Meetings with Stakeholders.
- Working with division deans, builds and supports all NETC education programs that can transition and generate college credit supporting student success throughout the institution service area.
- Implements a comprehensive approach to continuous improvement by using and analyzing relevant data to design, review, evaluate and revise programs, services and course management.
- Manages operational systems that result in effective administrative processes for budget management, inventory management, course programming and scheduling to ensure a sound fiscal base and ROI.
- Oversees and coordinates all areas of office functions to include student enrollment, student assistance programs, distance learning programs, internships, apprenticeships, programming, and purchasing.
- Builds relationships and alliance with external constituencies to fulfill the mission, goals and objective of the College.
- Oversees and develops education course offering in partnership with industry to bring certifications and recognized credentials to all Workforce programming.
- Oversees the interviewing, selection, monitoring, mentoring, and evaluation of department employees to ensure quality performance of personnel.
- Other assignments as assigned by supervisor.
