The Capital Priorities Unit at the Ministry of Health is looking for an individual who has a passion for improving the patient experience, the outcomes of care and the efficiency of the provincial healthcare system. If this is you, an opportunity exists to play a significant role in health infrastructure and planning.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your communication, facilitation, analytical and project management skills to lead, support and guide assessment of health sector capital priorities. You will represent the voice of the Ministry of Health and work collaboratively with health sector partners to provide analysis and recommendations for the scope of services for projects through all phases of capital planning. You will use your analytical and policy development skills to identify and anticipate emerging issues, trends and risks to support development of service delivery planning, infrastructure planning and prioritization.
Your experience in public policy analysis and development together with your knowledge of health policy issues, emerging strategies and best practices in health care, and infrastructure development and delivery processes will enable you to develop options and recommendations, and to provide sound advice to senior ministry officials. You will work collaboratively with internal clients and external stakeholders on a range of issues, including system-wide service delivery planning and capital planning.
Typically, knowledge for this position would be obtained through a graduate degree in a public policy-related field, business/health administration or a related discipline, a technical diploma in construction and project management field, as well as, related experience. Knowledge of facilitation, capital planning, capital asset management, and project management will be an asset.
