Responsibilities

Responsible for preparation of consolidated financial statements, including related internal management financial information required for public earnings release.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, including related internal management financial information, required for public earnings release.
  • Manage preparation and filing of quarterly and annual Securities and Exchange Commission filings (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K) and securities registration statements as necessary (Forms S-3, S-4).
  • Research and conclude on technical accounting issues, including implementation of newly issued accounting literature and SEC rule-making releases.
  • Consult with business unit financial management on technical accounting questions.
  • Coordination of interaction with independent auditors.
  • Issue guidance to business unit financial management regarding financial statement presentation matters.
  • Assist with financial due diligence of potential acquisition targets.
  • Prepare and make internal presentations on accounting and financial reporting issues for senior management, the Audit Committee and the Board of Directors.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.


Qualifications

Education & Training Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting; CPA required.

Experience Requirements:
  • 8 years of experience in public accounting and/or comparable relevant industry experience.

Other Requirements:
  • Familiarity with government contract accounting technical issues preferable.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels.
  • Must possess excellent attention to detail and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done.
  • Demonstrated track record of excellent leadership and team skills required.
  • Must be able to work with little direction and handle multiple tasks successfully and simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution skills required.
  • Must be able to travel on a periodic basis.
  • Required to demonstrate ability to perform duties and exhibit excellent record of attendance.
  • Must be fully proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Hyperion Enterprise consolidation software desirable.
