Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Definition and Documentation
    • Define and document global and site-specific Facilities processes, ensuring compliance with quality standards (Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation), safety regulations, and external authority requirements.
    • Collaborate with global leaders to define and document key business processes, covering roles and responsibilities, methods of engagement, record management, and more for teams such as Project Management, Facilities Maintenance, Operations, Security, Space Planning, Real Estate, and Facilities Engineering.
    • For areas lacking defined processes, work with internal teams to develop, document, and train personnel on the new processes.
  • Process Optimization
    • Partner with process owners to streamline and enhance processes, focusing on increasing effectiveness, cost-efficiency, time efficiency, and reducing complexity.
    • Ensure alignment between related processes and personnel by fostering clear communication channels and defining accountabilities.
  • Vendor Management
    • When processes involve vendor interaction, ensure Dexcom's needs are met by defining vendor expectations, responsibilities, and deliverables through documented Standards, Procedures, and instructions.
    • Review Request for Proposal (RFP) and design specification documents to ensure clear delineation of responsibilities and deliverables.
    • Maintain ongoing vendor compliance with deliverables through a documented process, involving all relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide Process Engineering Expertise
    • Provide consulting expertise to project teams on process optimization for the design and layout of Facilities, equipment, and utilities.


  • Job Requirements

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related fields).
    • 5+ years of experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
    • In-depth knowledge of process optimization techniques, Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical analysis.
    • Proficiency in process analysis, process modeling, statistical analysis, and simulation software.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex process issues.
    • Working knowledge of process safety, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance standards.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience as a Process Engineer in a Facilities engineering environment.
    • Familiarity with process improvement tools and methodologies such as Kaizen, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping.
    • Master's degree in Process Engineering or a related field.
    • Professional certification in Process Engineering or related areas.
    • Solid understanding of quality management systems, including ISO standards and FDA regulations (CFRs).
    • Knowledge of building automation and control systems.
    • Experience with facility and utility systems and infrastructure.
    • Familiarity with IT infrastructure and applications.
