Position Summary: The Senior Risk Management & Safety Specialist will provide expert risk evaluation, hazard detection, and loss control planning for large, complex commercial accounts. This includes assessing operations, identifying high-risk exposures, investigating major losses, and recommending alternative risk control methods. The role also involves reviewing client loss history to identify trends in accident frequency and severity, and delivering clear analysis and reports. Additionally, the Specialist will prepare and present technical safety training and presentations to insured groups. Working closely with the Director of Safety, the Specialist will assist in delivering People Safe Solutions, a behavior-based safety program tailored to each client's unique needs.

Essential Tasks:
- Working knowledge of risk evaluation, hazard recognition, loss prevention, fleet safety, fire safety, and workers' compensation control
- Well versed in OSHA, Drug Free Workplace, NFPA, Root Cause Analysis/Solutions, and other similar regulations, codes and standards of safety
- Desire to keep informed of the latest developments in loss prevention and safety management techniques through self-education and training programs
- Solid interpersonal, consultative and communication skills, with the ability to develop and effectively present technical training programs to a group

Experience and Education:
- Minimum 5 years of loss control and risk management experience, preferably in the fields of construction, manufacturing or insurance
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably with a special academic focus in Risk Management, Occupational Safety and Health, or Insurance
- Professional designations, such as ARM, CRM, or CSP, are desired
- Must have a valid state-issued driver's license in good standing
Licensing and Credentials:
- ARM, CRM, or CSP or equivalent designation strongly preferred
Systems:
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Applied Epic experience preferred, but knowledge of similar Account Management System (AMS) is acceptable
