- Lead the Process Engineering department in our production facility
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement process control strategies to enhance production efficiency.
- Oversee the testing and delivery/installation of new production equipment.
- Develop and update the layout of new and existing equipment.
- Collaborate with design engineers to integrate new technologies into current operations.
- Conduct root cause analysis for process failures and implement corrective actions.
- Manage the process to maintain and update work center instructions.
- Utilize Lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and reduce waste.
- Design and oversee the installation of industrial equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Work with Robotics systems to automate processes where applicable
- Continuously improve new/existing equipment & developing/verifying new equipment and layout.
- Develop and conduct studies on production equipment.
- Maintain facility stoppages, rework, and action plans in a timely manner.
- Participate in continuous improvement cost savings program & continuous improvement program.
Requirements
- 10 years of progressive experience in a high-volume manufacturing facility
- College Diploma or University Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
- Proficient in Lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Demonstrated background in Mechanical engineering principles.
- Knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of Robotics applications in manufacturing environments.
- Proficient in design software packages.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to process optimization.
- Good knowledge of production reporting systems and MRP in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving techniques and methods.
