SMX seeks an Associate Capture Manager with to support capturing deals in the Federal Civilian market.
This position is established to qualify and capture government acquisitions for our Federal Civilian Group. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that is focused on successful pursuit, capture, and winning proposals. Efforts include driving capture and proposal readiness from early positioning and shaping efforts, to development and implementation of win strategies, through pre-Request for Proposal activities, and continuing through written/oral proposal development, negotiations, award and transition.

The proposed salary for this position is:
$110,000-$160,000 USD

Required Skills & Experience
- Clearance required: None
- Overall 4+ years in the Public Sector Market
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum 2+ years combined experience with any of the following: strategic capture, business development, proposal development, and/or solutions development.
- Understanding of the full business development lifecycle
- Experience interacting with and briefing senior government and industry acquisition officials
- Proactive and organized highly-skilled professional
- Experience working with partners
- Contribute to qualification decisions based upon customer/requirement understanding
- Experience with contributing to proposals and requests for information
- Strong communication and presentation skills, while maintaining a positive attitude, strong drive for results
- Collaborative and proactive work habits to achieve broader company growth objectives and provide a strong foundation for customer success during execution
- Comfortable working with cross-organizational teams
Desired Skills & Experience
- Clearance Preferred: Secret
- Additional knowledge and experience with adjacent capabilities in the areas of Enterprise IT; Cyber Operations, ITSM and Managed Services; Data Center, Cloud and Cloud Migration; Data Transport and Systems Integration; Application Development and Modernization; Big Data and Data Analytics
- Experience as a capture manager developing and leading RFP based capture efforts
- Prior experience with structured Capture/Proposal Methodologies
- Experience using Salesforce (preferred) or similar CRM tool
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
