TRADEMARK ASSOCIATE

DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated senior Trademark Associate with 2-6 years of experience in trademark law to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of trademark registration, branding, enforcement, and litigation, and will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support to our clients in a variety of industries. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment while contributing to the growth and success of our trademark practice.
Key Responsibilities:

Brand Counseling, Trademark Registration and Prosecution:

• Manage the trademark application process from inception to registration, including conducting comprehensive trademark searches and preparing and filing applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• Respond to office actions and coordinate with clients to address any issues that may arise during the registration process.
• Develop and manage global trademark portfolio strategy, including preparing and prosecuting international trademark applications, managing local counsel, and communicating with clients.

Brand and Trademark Enforcement:

• Develop and implement strategies for trademark enforcement, including monitoring and addressing potential infringement issues.
• Draft and send cease-and-desist letters and negotiate settlement agreements as necessary.
• Coordinate global trademark enforcement efforts, including review of international trademark watch notices, management of international trademark opposition and cancellation matter, and oversight of global trademark litigation matters.

Litigation and Opposition Support:

• Assist in trademark litigation matters, including conducting legal research, preparing pleadings, and supporting discovery efforts.
• Collaborate with external counsel as needed on complex litigation cases.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

• Work closely with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm to ensure a cohesive approach to trademark matters.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and outreach efforts to promote the firm's trademark services.

Qualifications:

• 2-6 years of experience in trademark law, with a strong background in trademark prosecution and enforcement.
• Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range: $200,000 to $250,000
