PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to direct, coordinate and manage the daily activities for the Participant Engagement team in the Chicago & MidAtlantic offices. This position also oversees the Participant Engagement Supervisors in these offices and is responsible for providing leadership to said supervisors so they can coordinate and manage the daily activities for the Participant Engagement teams, including building morale to ensure optimal collaboration among a team working on various programs and initiatives. The focus of the team is to educate and engage all participants as well as those targeted for self-management and individualized care coordination, in addition to dealing with walk-ins and local union concerns. The goal is to achieve the Triple Aim - improve health outcomes, reduce costs, and improve member experience of the Fund and the broader healthcare system.

Salary range for this position: Salary $91,100 - $113,900. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to: relevant experience, qualifications, expertise, certifications, licenses, education or equivalent work experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
Work Schedule (may vary to meet business needs): Monday~Friday, 7.5 hours per day (37.5 hours per week) with potential for hybrid work-from-home arrangement.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
- Provides leadership to the Supervisors so they can complete the essential job functions and duties outlined below:
- Plans, directs, and manages staff to ensure multiple programs are being administered appropriately
- Manages Health Promoters working peer-to-peer engagement, recruiting participants into Fund self-management and care coordination programs, and running outreach, enrollment and member outreach and education programs
- Collaborates with internal and external partners (including clinical teams in the Fund, community healthcare practitioners, contracted UM/CM organizations, local Unions and employers) to connect with participants and recruit them into appropriate programs and improve care coordination.
- Communicates with local Unions, employers, members, departmental staff and Fund management and staff to keep everyone up to date about Fund programs and initiatives
- Organizes and reviews data to identify and prioritize participants for program outreach
- Oversees the recruitment and development of participant leaders to expand the reach of Fund programs.
- Collaborates closely with other teams and leaders Nationally to develop goals and protocols for Fund programs.
- Coordinate onsite enrollment/benefit education events and help ensure a smooth participant experience.
- Provides oversight for the office operations, coordinating with the local unions, including managing day to day operations of the office and handling walk-ins.
- Monitors and reports on work and outcomes in CarMa
- Provides input to Fund Leadership regarding concerns identified through working with participants and staff
- Drives on Fund Business and/or authorized to drive a Fund-owned or leased vehicle
- Plans, analyzes, and evaluates programs and services, operational needs, and fiscal constraints
- Supervises, leads, and delegates work and coaches, mentors, and develops employees
- Analyzes problems, identifies and develops alternative solutions, projects consequences of proposed actions, and implements recommendation/solutions
- Assists with developing and coordinating programs, policies and procedures
- Recommends hires and promotions, directs and evaluates employment decisions for all assigned positions
- Responsible for the oversight of continued employee training, safety and quality initiatives

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Years of Experience and Knowledge
- 5 ~ 7 years of direct experience minimum
- 3 ~ 5 years of team management experience required
- Working knowledge and experience as a management-level healthcare patient advocate/care coordinator or service sector labor union/ healthcare community organizer
Education, Licenses, and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
- Valid driver's license, car, auto insurance, and/or ability to use public transportation (depending on region)
