The Project Superintendent should have experience with self-performing or general contracting construction and must have previous exposure with water/wastewater treatment plants, excavation, and concrete. The Project Superintendent is totally accountable for job site management of each assigned construction project. The Project Superintendent fulfills his/her responsibility through daily management planning and execution of all operations at the job site. The Project Superintendent is the leader of the project site and must manage as the party responsible for the total coordination of all construction efforts and as the Quandel representative to all project parties.

What You Will Do:
- Review the project plan along with the Project Manager and other key team members. This includes how the project is planned, project challenges, potential cost savings opportunities, and probable execution strategies. This requires that the Superintendent does a thorough analysis of the project plans, specifications, and bids with estimating.
- Work with the Project Manager in a team approach to determine a construction schedule for assigned projects. Open communication and input among the team is essential for our projects' success.
- Maintain accurate daily and weekly scheduling of equipment and subcontractors. The schedules should be clearly communicated through postings in the field office, email, phone calls and text messages so all parties are aware of the current and upcoming schedule requirements.
- Perform regular Quality Control inspections of work in place.
- Always maintain Quandel's Safety Rules with our own team members as well as subcontractors. The Superintendent must run his/her jobs in accordance with OSHA standards and communicate all Quandel and OSHA standards to team members.
- Ensure accurate daily reports are logged in our project management system.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring:
- 5-7 years of previous Project Superintendent experience is required.
- Minimum of 5 years' construction experience with projects from $10 million - $60 million.
- Previous water/wastewater experience is required.
- Experience working in various areas such as excavating, concrete, and process piping is required.
- Technology experience specifically with construction software like Procore, Viewpoint, P6, etc.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel for different projects within the New York and Southern Pennsylvania areas.
- Previous estimating experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to provide quality leadership, a sense of ownership, and commitment to constantly improving our business practices.
- Ability to drive schedule and subcontractors to meet or exceed key milestones during the project.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- Work a flexible schedule between the hours of 6am to 6pm, Monday through Friday. Occasional extended hours will be required as needed.
- Frequent travel to and from job sites with overnight stays as needed.
- While performing the essential functions of this position, employees must regularly see, speak, and hear; frequently stand; walk; occasionally kneel and stoop; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc.
