Sterile Processing Manager - Sterile Processing - Days

Position Highlights:
  • Position: Sterile Processing Manager
  • Hourly Pay Range: $38.67- - $59.94 The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
  • Location: Arlington Heights, IL
  • Full Time/Part Time: 40 hours a week
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, Days, 24-hour coverage as needed
  • Required Travel: May be asked to assist other locations-as needed


What you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor degree, 3 years SPD experience or 3 years OR experience; or Associate degree with 5 years SPD or OR experience; or High School Diploma or GED with 7 years experience with 2 of the 7 years as SPD or OR Supervisor
  • Certification: Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM). Leadership Certification thru CBSPD or IAHCSMM must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
  • Experience: 5 years SPD/OR experience and familiarity with surgical instrumentation. Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience preferred.


What you will do:

  • Promote effective team relations within the unit and across other departments in addition to fostering an environment that promotes strong decision making and problem solving by staff.
  • Develop strong relationships with other departments and senior leaders to promote staff collaboration, efficiencies and results.
  • Insures quality control and efficient production of processed products in line with Endeavor Health policies and procedures.
  • Implement process improvements based on data/information received via reports & procedural areas.
