Job Description:

Manager Responsibilities (30% of Work Activities):
  • Virtually self-supervising and assume direct accountability for their work product and goals.
  • Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operations of the regional operations.
  • Create and monitor key performance indicators to ensure operational efficiencies.
  • Oversees and ensures QA/QC/Project Controls Department is unbiased and provides independent oversight of projects.
  • Ability to interpret, understand, forecast and distinguish possible problems for any given project. Be able to express these issues to the CEC.
  • Create and deliver monthly executive summaries of KPIs for each capital project.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and always conduct business in a professional manner. Live and foster CEC's STRIVE system of values.

Project Controls Responsibilities (35% of Work Activities):
  • Verifies with CEC Project Management Team the feasibility of internal and external project schedules and quantities.
  • Maintains and develops schedules for projects as needed.
  • Validates the project schedule and quantities weekly against the onsite work production.
  • Verification and evaluation to ensure change orders, job setups in ERP system, material quantities/requests are properly documented.
  • Prepare comparison documents for review.
  • Assist in project budget forecast reviews with the VP Capital Projects and assigned PM.
  • Reports risks-schedule, budget and/or quality issues to the Project Management Team and Controller regarding financial impact.
  • Assist in the WIP to verify percentage complete.

QA/QC Responsibilities (35% of Work Activities):
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), methods of procedures (MOPs) and other documentation for quality control processes.
  • Formalize and integrate QA/QC documents for CEC projects and ensure the documentation is placed in a centralized system and maintained.
  • Monitor QA/QC documentation and ensure the proper submittal to the GC/Owner of the project.
  • Hire, assign, coordinate, train and examine the work of the QA/QC employees corporately throughout the company.
  • Prepare and present quality performance reports, trend analyses, and improvement initiatives to Project Management Team.
  • Assist with closeout documentation and final quality verification for project completion.

Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Science Management, Engineering, or a related field.
5 years of experience in Construction Accounting or related.
10 years of experience in Construction Management.
Strong writing skills for creating documentation and SOPs.
Valid driver's license and a clear driving record.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
