Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Specialty: PreOp & PostOp Surgery
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 10-Hour Days
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours Per Week
Experience: Minimum 2 Years of Experience in Pre/Post Op
License: Active IL RN License
Certifications: BLS - American Heart Association, ACLS - American Heart Association
Must-Have: Ability to Start IVs Independently
Job Description:
- General job duties include working as a float, starting IVs, and assisting with admissions.
- Use of equipment such as computerized charting and medication systems, specifically EPIC.
- The position requires working from 0600-1430, Monday through Friday, with flexibility to adjust hours as needed.
- The unit has 22 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 for PreOp and 1:2 for Phase 2.
- Hospital-provided scrubs must be worn.
- The position includes a 1-2 day orientation on the unit.
Additional Comments:
- Shifts may vary, with options to adjust start times.
- Call-offs equate to a certain number of hours every 13 weeks with no penalty.
- Hours guaranteed during orientation do not apply.
- Local candidates are welcome.
