We are seeking a Surveying Manager to oversee land surveying operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing survey teams, coordinating with project stakeholders, and implementing best practices for data collection and analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise in surveying methods, and experience managing large-scale projects.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage survey teams, overseeing fieldwork and office operations to ensure project success.
Develop and implement survey methodologies, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Review and approve survey data, maps, and reports for accuracy and completeness.
Coordinate with engineers, architects, and contractors to integrate survey data into project planning and design.
Maintain and oversee the use of advanced surveying equipment, including GPS, total stations, and GIS software.
Ensure project timelines and budgets are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in land surveying, with at least 3 years in a management role.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, GPS, and total station equipment.
Strong knowledge of boundary law, construction staking, and topographic surveying.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required.
