We are seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead and optimize our sourcing strategies. This role will focus on delivering cost savings, enhancing supplier relationships, and driving innovation for a global consumer retail business with $1 billion in annual revenue. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic sourcing, category management, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced, consumer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing:
- Develop and implement global sourcing strategies to support business objectives, ensuring cost optimization / productivity, quality, and risk mitigation.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers to ensure alignment with the company's strategic goals and compliance requirements.
Category Management:
- Manage key spend categories, including raw material sourcing for factories and DCs
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Lead supplier negotiations, including contracts, pricing, and performance metrics.
- Escalate critical items and support discussion with critical vendors
Cost Savings and Value Creation:
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing initiatives, process improvements, and supplier partnerships.
- Drive initiatives to improve supply chain sustainability and resilience.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with key internal stakeholders, including product development, marketing, finance, and operations, to align sourcing strategies with business goals.
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of sourcing initiatives.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize data analytics to monitor spend, supplier performance, and market conditions.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership on sourcing performance and cost savings.
- Publish dashboard on regular cadence to support operation discussion
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors' degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
- 7+ years of strategic sourcing experience, preferably in consumer retail
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA preferred
- Understanding of the corporate and global business environments with supply management
- Strong and effective communication skills
- Demonstrated success in managing global supplier relationships and negotiating complex contracts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in procurement tools and software.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
- Ability to adapt to multiple ERP systems
- Strong analytical capability
- Professional presence and ability to communicate across all levels of the organization

- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint; experience with Power BI is preferred
