Senior Associate Attorney

We are looking for a skilled Associate Criminal Defense Attorney position to join our growing defense firm in Idaho Falls. If you're interested in litigation, criminal defense, and having massive room for growth- give us a call. Our home base will be the Idaho Falls area to start, but we already have cases in all neighboring states, and the military practice is global (along with travel opportunities). This position will come with ownership of cases starting in Idaho with opportunities to expand into neighboring states and to into federal and military cases. The Associate Attorney will manage their caseload, as well as client interaction, and can collaborate with our wonderful Criminal Defense Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise client on their legal rights in matters and draw up legal documents about their case
  • Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and advise clients about best strategies
  • Manage court appearances, drafting motions, interviewing witnesses and performing legal research
  • Analyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support legal proceedings
  • Manage workload of all cases
  • Provide legal analysis for clients to determine any possible case benefits
  • Accrue additional evidence to support client's case or for arguments against the charges
  • Prepare clients for all phases of trial
  • Determine essential goals of case strategy
  • Gather information from witnesses and important experts that support client's positions

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the state bar association
  • Criminal Defense Experience and military background preferred
  • Experience handling complex criminal cases at the federal, state and local level preferred

Salary: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00, annually, depending on experience (DOE)
Schedule: 8AM-5PM, Monday-Friday, weekends and overtime as needed.
Location: Idaho Falls, ID
Travel Required (25%)
